The NEC is one of the busiest exhibition centres in Europe, hosting over 500 events a year, ranging from world-famous public shows such as Crufts and Clothes Show Live to huge international trade exhibitions like IPEX and Spring Fair International, Birmingham.
Occupying a 650-acre site with approx 12 miles of roads and approx 20,000 car parking spaces, the venue currently receives up to 2,000,000 visitors each year to over 186,000sqm of exhibition space as well and the 15,000 seater Genting Arena. Given this scale, the NEC requires a reliable and responsive highways maintenance partner to work around a busy events schedule ensuring the road network remains operational.
