This project, working for long term client City Estates, involved all section 278 and 38 works on the former site of the Texaco and Esso oil depot site on the Colwick Industrial Estate in Nottingham.
This complex scheme illustrates our in-house resources and expertise to deliver a multi discipline scheme and drive efficiencies for our clients. The works included full construction of a new junction onto the A612 and a new road connecting through onto the existing industrial estate on the remediated oil storage depot site, included all earthworks, drainage, retaining walls, surfacing, kerbing, footpaths, vehicle restraints, lighting and signalling.
Our teams sought out efficiencies, removing expensive fuel line protection and gabion retaining walls and redesigning the earthworks to accommodate, while dealing with change in scope including the planning and resurfacing of an associated nearby junction within the original budget.
The saving amounted to some £250,000 against the original budget and was still completed with the original 26 week programme.
