An exciting, newly created opportunity as a Depot, Plant & Transport Assistant Manager has arisen with Thomas Bow Limited who are a leading company within the Civil Engineering, Highways and Surfacing industry. The company has an extensive track record of successful operation in the UK and this is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership position reporting to the Depot, plant & Transport Manager.

This position will support the day to day operations in the depot and will be a key role within the business operations.

Responsibilities

• Promote the highest standards of health and safety awareness and compliance within the depot.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships while coordinating with in-house supply chains and external customers.
• Assisting in and managing a team of personnel in support of the depot operation both direct labour and subcontractors.
• Co-ordinate the Winter Maintenance Operations (Gritting)
• Implementation of Depot, Plant and Transport requirements.
• Drive Performance to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
• Assist with compiling monthly reports, including data analysis and statistical performance reviews.

The Candidate will have:

 Experience administration within a Senior Operations Environment

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others.
• Strong commercial awareness with decision-making capabilities.
• A Full UK Driving Licence.
• A strong technical knowledge across management systems and business assurance.
• An eye for detail and the ability to influence and effectively drive change.
