Putting safety first

The health, safety and welfare of our workforce and the public at large is of prime concern to the Directors, staff and workforce of Thomas Bow City Asphalt. We achieve this through the strict application of our Health & Safety Policy, its safe systems of work, control measures, monitoring and procedures. We are proud to maintain our CHAS, SafeContractor and Constructionline accreditations along with the changes brought in as part of CDM 2015.

Our Compliance team carry out stringent site and systems audits, inspections and safety tours. The Board of Directors are briefed on a regular basis regarding the Company’s Health and Safety performance.

Accident trends and new initiatives are constantly on the agenda, with regular safety alerts sent to all site staff.

Acting as Principal Contractor on the majority of our projects we maintain close relationships with other duty holders including the client, his planning supervisor, local authorities, government agencies and the public with regards to the potential impact of works.
