New Cycle Track at Harvey Hadden Sports Complex
Thomas Bow City Asphalt began work at Nottingham City Councils’ Harvey Hadden Sports Complex to transform the existing sports pitches by building a new 1500m closed road cycle circuit, SUDS wildlife pond and associated land drainage for new sports pitches.
The project, based just a short distance from the company’s headquarters, forms part of the plans by Nottingham City Council to invest £13.5 million in the centre to develop it into Nottingham’s largest state-of-the-art leisure facility.
East Midlands British Cycling Recreational Manager Janet Hudson commented: “British Cycling would like to congratulate Nottingham City Council for its successful funding bid to develop a national standard cycling track at Harvey Hadden Sports Complex.”
“The track, which will be open to all levels of cyclists from beginners to elite riders, will bring benefits to the local community and City as well as the East Midlands Region and will help nurture and inspire the next generation of athletes.”
